POLICEMAN BITTEN
ATTEMPT TO RESIST ARREST P.A. WELLINGTON, Feb. 10. How a man resisting arrest bit a piece out of the forehead of a constable, who had to receive medical attention, was described in the Magistrate’s Court at Petone.
John Lawrence Healey (24), a bottle dealer and baker, was sentenced by justices of the peace to 28 days’ imprisonment for assault, and convicted and discharged on a drunkenness charge.
