OFFICERS ELECTED
INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERS The council of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers was elected at a special general meeting held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall yesterday morning. Appointments were ;—President, Mr A. J. Dickson (Auckland); vice-presidents—Messrs H. C. Lusty (Wellington) and S. G. Scoular (Dunedin); members of council—Messrs P. R. Arfus, K. H. Black, E H. R. Green, F. M. H. Hanson, F. Langbein, C. W. O. Turner L. B. Hutton (Wellington), T. D. J. Leech, J. B. Rowntree (Auckland), R. A. Campbell (Christchurch) and H. R. Bach (Lower Hutt); chairmen of branches— Messrs L. A. Lincoln (Auckland), A. Jr. Downer (Wellington), F.D Tonkin (Canterbury), and R. H. C. Galbraith (Otago); secretary, Mr D. S. G. Marchbanks (Wellington); treasurer, Mr I. R. Robinson (Hutt). , The annual meeting was held in the afternoon’, and a discussion on the first two technical papers took place las, night. _____
