WELLINGTON WEDDING
Bride in Moire Taffeta
Magnolias and spring flowers decorated St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Wellington, for the marriage of Morah Elizabeth, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs F. L. Nicolson, Dunedin, and Cyril, only son of Mrs Freeme and the late Mr G. Freeme, of Wellington. The Rev. J. G. S. Dunn officiated. , , , The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of cream moire taffeta with a hand-printed floral design in gold The tailored jacket was finished at the back with a pleated peplum, and the same pleated effect was continued in the skirt, which fell to a long train. Her veil of old Limerick lace, lent by a friend of the bride’s parents, was held in place bv a coronet of craam feathers. At her neck she wore a beautiful old cameo, and she carried a shower bouquet of cream freesias, hyacinths, and winter roses. The bride was attended by Miss Nancy Nicolson and Mrs B. Falloon, who wore primrose-coloured frocks cut on classical lines and matching head-dresses of ostrich plumes. Their bouquets were of gold freesias and polyanthus and green winter roses and boronia. The best man was Mr Ken Dods, of Wellington, and Mr John Murray, of Palmerston North, was groomsman. The reception was held at the Boronia Lounge, where the guests were received by Mrs Nicolson and Mrs Freeme. Mrs Nicolson wore a full-length frock of black wool sheer with black and white sequin embroidery, and a spray of dark red tulips. Mrs Freeme wore a cyclamencoloured frock and a spray of freesias. For travelling, the bride wore a navy afternoon suit relieved with a white lace jabot, and her white hat was of crinoline straw.
