PALESTINE PROBLEM
PARTITION AS SOLUTION SPECIAL COMMITTEE’S ATTITUDE Rec. 10 p.m. GENEVA, Aug. 18, Partition as the solution of the Palestine problem has been accepted by the majority of the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine, according to sources in Geneva, where the committee is preparing its report. Details have still to be worked out, and the committee is now considering a plan for the establishment of an economic council composed of Jews and Arabs, with a United Nations’ representative, having the objective of fostering cooperation between the separate Arab and Jewish States.
