ASSISTANCE FOR ARABS
ACCUSATION AGAINST BRITISH OFFICER Rec. 10 p.m. JERUSALEM, Aug. 18. Stern Gang pamphlets distributed in Tel-Aviv accused Brigadier E. H. Clayton, former director of British military intelligence at Middle East headquarters and now attached to the British Embassy in Cairo, of “ being behind Arab communal clashes in Palestine.” The pamphlets allege that former British officers, with Polish officers from General Ander’s army, are training Arabs with British arms.
