WARNED OFF THE TURF
AUSTRALIAN CLUB’S DECISION FORMER OWNER OF FRONTAL ATTACK Rec. 7 p.m. SYDNEY. Aug. 15. The racehorse owner, G. Frank, who raced the former New Zealand horse Frontal Attack, has been warned off the turf during the pleasure of the Australian Jockey Club committee. The decision means that Frank will not be allowed on any racecourse, even as a spectator. Because of international reciprocity between racing clubs, the ban is world-wide in application. The action was taken under the ruie which provides for the disqualification of anyone who. at an inquiry by the club or stewards, gives misleading or false evidence. He bought Frontal Attack, his first horse, at the sale of Alex Higgins’s property in New Zealand. In a routine inquiry held to establish the bona fides of ownership, it was alleged that material information about Frank’s history was withheld. Subsequently it was reported that Frontal Attack had been sold to Elliott Randall, owner of Cordale.
