WILLIAMS WINS IN SIXTH ROUND Ree. 9 p.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 4. Ike Williams to-night knocked out Bob Montgomery in the sixth round of a scheduled 15-rounds fight for the world’s light-weight title at Philadelphia. Both weighed 9st 7Jlb. The knock-out came after Williams had floored Montgomery for a count of in the same round. He then moved in with a barrage of punches to finish the fight after 2 minutes 37 seconds of the sixth round. The earlier rounds were gruelling give and take with Williams holding the edge in points. Williams is not the undisputed world light-weight champion Montgomery was the New York and Pennsylvania title-holder, and Williams held the National fixing Association- title. A crowd of 30,000 saw the fight.
