GOVERNMENT AND ELECTORS P.A. ‘ AUCKLAND, Mar. 17. “ The Government knew last October what the electricity position would be this autumn,” said the manager of the Waitemata Electric Power Board, Mr A. Main, to-day, ‘“but in view of its having to face the electors it did not have the backbone to issue a public warning, and particularly to revoke the present control order compelling boards to issue new electricity permits.”
