CROMWELL

THE HOLIDAY SEASON. There is a large crowd of holidaymakers in the town at present, and all accommodation is fully booked. A large number of campers are also visiting the town and district, the local camping ground having a record number. There has also been a large number of caravans and campers passing through the town to the Lakes districts The weather, except for a keen breeze at times, has been fine and ideal for holiday-makers. Christmas Day and Boxing Day were typical of Central Otago s best summer weather. The rain on Monday morning was beneficial to pastures and gardens. Fortunately for the campers, the rain was followed by a return to fine weather. TENNIS TOURNAMENT The Lowburn Tennis Club held a tournament on Boxing Day. Good entries were received, and the winners Were W. Munro and Miss N. King
