SOUTH AFRICAN VISIT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 2. Mr G. P Aldridge,’secretary of the New Zealand Boxing Council, said today that South Africa was still anxious to have a New Zealand amateur team there this summer, but the only ship apparently available was the Dominion Monarch, sailing at the end of this month, and it was not yet certain that she would go to Africa. The selectors have recommended the names of boxers to the council, but the boxers have not yet been advised It will be necessary in the time available to outfit the boxers and make arrangements for travel permits. The council was being called together as soon as possible to consider the matter.
