CLEANING CORK MATS
Wet the mats well all over, rub a pumice stone briskly in a circular direction, then rinse. It is quite surprising how the dirt comes away, but it is most important to rinse the mat thoroughly. Drying is equally important. A damp cork mat left in a drawer is likely to acquire mildew.
