WOMEN WORKERS
CAUSES OF MALE CRITICISM Are you an irritant to your male coworkers? The following list of the nine most frequently voiced criticisms of women employees compiled from a poll recently taken among movie men by a Hollywood make-up expert. Wally Westmore, may help you to assess your status as an ornament to the office. Read the list carefully, and remember, if you are guilty on any point, it is time to mend your office ways. (1) Excess use of make-up. (2) Straggling hair on the nape of the neck when an upswept hair-do is worn. (3) Pulling up hose. (4) Pulling down girdles. (5) Filing nails in the office. (6) Dangling cigarettes from the corner of the mouth. (7) Indolent sprawling. (8) Applying make-up in the office. (9) Pencil stuck into coiffure. " Many a feminine office worker has been dismissed or transferred to a job of lesser importance for offending one or more of those rules,” said Wally Westmore. “If you are making a career in business keep in mind the fact that good grooming and beauty * manners' carry more than a superficial rating when a career is at stake!"
