SYDNEY WEDDING

A SOUTHLAND BRIDE A naval wedding of interest to New Zealanders, and particularly to Southland people, which took place recently at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Sydney, was that of Margaret Boult, only daughter of Mrs Davin, Wreys Bush, and the lam Mr Boult, and Engineer-officer Cornelius Reichwein, of Utrecht Holland. The bride, who was escorted to the church and given away by Mr Hamilton Knignt, M L.A., Minister of Labour and Industry, wore a model gown of white embossed crepe cut on classical lines with a fringed bodice and basque. A threequarter length American veil was arranged with a pretty head-dress of white gardenias. She carried a shower bouquet of water lilies. A friend of the bride, Mrs Tony Campbell, formerly Miss Betty Scott, of Mataura and Gore, was the matron of honour. She wore a white georgette frock and carried a shower bouquet of deep red roses, with a head-dress of flowers to match. The two bridesmaids were Miss Robin Hewitt and Miss Coral Hewitt, of Sydney. Their frocks were of powder blue and duskv pink and they carr'ed Dories of matching flowers, with a circlet or the same flowers in their hair. Mr Pieter Hulleman, of the Netherlands merchant navy, was the best man. The ceremony was performed by a Dutch missionary priest, the Rev. Father Van de Walle. The wedding reception was hold at the Wentworth Hotel, where in the absence of the bride’s mother, Mrs Hewitt received the guests. Mr Hamilton Knight proposed the toast' to the bride and bridegroom Among the guests was the famous pianist, Mr Frank Hutchens, with whom the bride studied music at the Sydney Conservatorium. Mr and Mrs Reichwein will shortly leave on an extended tour of England and the Comment, where they will visit the parents and friends of the bridegroom.
