The Otago Red Cross Society's " bring and buy ’’ shop in George street did good business, and few were prepared to Ignore the advances of the street collectors. The president of the society, Mr Charles V. Smith, last night expressed the thanks of his organisation for the tangible proof which the public had shown for the peacetime work being undertaken by the society, and said that the response was very gratifying.
