ANIMAL WELFARE WEEK
Sir, —This year World Animal Welfare Week will be from September 29 to October 5, centring in the Day of St. Francis on October 4. The Combined Animal Welfare Group, made up, for the purposes of that week, of delegates from several humanitarian societies, is," on very slender resources, carrying out as wide as possible a campaign of advertising in the press, the pulpit, and the schools, as well as on the screen.
Is there, among your readers, an animal lover who would take one of our 4s slides and, at his or her own expense, show it for a week in a local cinema? Or a dozen slides, in as many cinemas, according to means and zeal? And may we ask, too, for your good offices in giving publicity to our aims? —I am, etc.. Edwin Greensmith.
