OTAGO’S CENTENARY YEAR DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR DtJNEDIN Advice has been received by the Otago Golf Club that the New Zealand Golf Council has agreed that the New Zealand golf championships should be played in Dunedin in 1948. the year of the centenary of the province.
ST. CLAIR LADIES’ CLUB
The Schoen Cup Knock-out was won by Mrs E. A. Lucas (16). who defeated M'ss C. Mcßae (15) in the final 2 and 1. The McCarthy Cup Knock-out has now reached the final stage, and Mrs Grant (19) will play Mrs Mackway Jones (23). The following were the best cards returned in the L.G.U. Medal Match played on Tuesday:—A Grade, Mrs Burrowes 98-15-83; Mrs E. A. Lucas 100-16-84. B Grade. Mrs M. Jones 109-23-86. A sealed holes match will be played on Tuesday and on Wednesday. A team of 10 players from the Queen’s Park Ladle* Golf Club, Invercargill, will play an interclub match against St. Clair.
ONSLOW LADIES’ CLUB
The following were the best cards returned in the Eclectic Match played by the Onslow Ladies’ Golf Club on Thursday:—Mrs Clark 48-16-30; Mrs Renton 42-10-32; and Mrs Turner 50-18-32. The monthly L.G.U. Medal Match will be plaved on Thursday, followed by a putting compettlon. The draw lows:—Mrs Abernethy v. Mrs Morrison. Mrs Turner v. Mrs Renton, Miss Hunt v. Mrs Wyatt, Mrs Pink v. Mrs McAUan, Mrs Dvke v. Miss Jamieson, Mrs Mam v. Mrs Maclean. Mrs Cormack v. Mrs Gibson, Mrs Swanson v. Mrs Clark, Mrs Mason v.
