FALCONBRIDGE TURNED OUT (Special) CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 14. Lady Welbeck and Montello de Oro have been scratched for their engagements at Motukarara to-morrow. Fluorescent is another who will be missing, while High Counsel is a doubtful starter. The following are additional riding engagements:—W. Martin, Peter Gazelle, Pink Clover; K. Holman, Ruling Moment, Lady Broiefort; J. L. Stove, Miss Alterwater, Here Hine; C. T. Wilson, Mister John; C. McDonald, Sir Tague; A. M. Ellis, Pacific Star, Gunga Din. Lord Advocate will have a spell for two months and will then be got ready for autumn racing. He has earned a rest, as he has been a long ■ time in work C. C. McCarthy has made a start with Foxhaven, who has been freshened up by -a good spell, and he will be prepared for engagements later in the season. , S. Barr has the two-year-old, Cipher, moving along smoothly in his work. He j.s a grey by Nizami —Security and he may have his first race at Wingatui, with Invercargill to follow. E. Rosewarne has taken a two-year-old filly in hand for Mrs J. Harris, of Hastings. She is by Arvakur—Tipperary Girl and she cost 150 guineas as a yearling. . , Falconbridge has been turned out and he will have a spell for a few weeks while he recovers from soreness, the result of a recent mishap.
