OAMARU GARRISON BAND

Mr T. Ovens presided at the monthly meeting of the Oamaru Garrison Band on Thursday. It was stated that 23 parades had been held since peace was declared. Letters of congratulations on the success of the marching competition were received from the North Otago-Boy Scouts’ Association and the North Otago Rugby Football Union. The Otago and Southland Brass Bands’ Association wrote advising that solo and quartet competitions for players under 20 years would be held in Dunedin on July 21, entries to be in by July 14. ;
