MUSSELBURGH SCHOOL

The monthly meeting of the Musselbutg School Committee was held on Tuesday evening. Mr W. M. Caddie presiding. The l*eadmaster, Mr J. C. Smith, reported a slight increase in the school roll number. Special coaching was being given to selected pupils in both cricket and lawn tennis, and arrangements were in hand for the training of pupils in the swimming class in both life saving and artificial respiration. The various clubs ana the school choir had been started, and work generally was proceeding satisfactorily. Scripture lessons were being given to all the main classes. Miss Hazel Bell had been appointed senior woman assistant and would take up her duties in June. It was resolved to hold the usual Anzac Day memorial service and to ask the Returned Services' Association to arrange for a speaker ■
