MONTHLY MEETING OF COUNCIL

Tire monthly meeting cf .the Waihemo County Council was held at Palmerston on Mondsy last, and was attended by Crs D. J. Ireland (chairman), G. Ross. A. Purvis, W. Matheson, H. S. Sheat, T. A. Peddie, P. M. Ileffernan, and W. Ritchie. The chairman referred to the death of Mrs Fraser, and a vote of sympathy with the Prime Minis er was record; d. The foreman was directed to have the water tables on the tar-sealed portion of the Palmerston-Clyde main highway graded as soon as possible, and to procure the necessary concrete pipes for repairs to the washout on McLew’s road. 1-Ie was also directed to install a pipe culvert on Aitchiscn’s road, Bushsy.
