The WaitaJji County Council yesterday carried a motion of sympathy with the Prime Minister in the death of Mrs Fraser. Motions of sympathy were passed by the Athletic Football Club on Tuesday night with the relatives in the death of Mr Neil Austin, the originator of the team in 1886; Mr Donald Miller, patron and a former president; Mr Gavin Campbell, a former secretary, and Messrs E. Familton and J. P. Walsh, prominent members who were killed in action overseas; and Messrs J. Bennett, J. Flynn, J. Luxon, A. Howell, W. McGregor (Dunedin), J. Mannix, R. Taylor, and J. McJennett; and with Mr C. Taylor in the death of his mother. A motion of sympathy was passed at the quarterly meeting of the Loyal Star of the North Lodge with P.G. Bro. Taylor in the death of his mother.
