MILK CONTROL
The Waitaki County Council yesterday received a communication from the Central Milk Council, Wellington, requesting the council’s views upon a number of matters relating to the constitution and area of control by milk authorities. The county clerk (Mr R. K. Gardiner) reported that k a similar communication had been received by the Borough Council, but it was impossible to furnish a reply by March 27. Mr James Rodman (chairman) commented that in the country most people milked a cow or two. and the children should drink milk at home. It was ridiculous, he said, to send milk to town and then send it back in bottles to the country schools. The communication was held over pending the Borough Council’s action in the matter.
