(Special) CHRISTCHURCH, Mar. 30. The trial grass track was in good order this morning, when half-mile sprints were popular. Pensacola set the main, beating Beau Cheval and Piccolo narrowly in 49 2-ssec. Renarde and Hamish did 50see, which Stand To equalled in attractive style. All Night took 50 2-ssec, as did Periwig. Lindus beat St. Natt?.r in 51sec. Gull’ Stream and Silver Sal were together in the same time, as were Bill Gundi and Surama, and also Irish Brogue and Air Lord, while Lord Justice beat Penetraiion in 51 l-ssec. Racket and Miss Medley were well matched in 51 2-ssec. Gamble gave Chellow Dene and Lyndon Lea a start and a beating in 52sec. On the plough Royal Review ran away from Chestnut Glow, who was evidently not in galloping mood, over six furlongs in lmin 16 4-ssee, while Jchn Gay did lmin 17sec alone. Lord Advocate and Justitia went well over six furlongs, the last three in 38 2-ssec, with Justitia a neck in front. Nurnie did seven furlongs in lmin 32sec, and Retriever beat Arustra in lmin 33sec. Siegwood ran half a mile in 51 l-sscc. Dancing Fawn beat Record Voyage over three furlongs in 38sec, and Qui Tam went, over the same ground brilliantly in 36 2-ssec.

F. Trilford has arrived from Washdyke with Salary, Receptive, Royal Writ., Grand Forest, and Even Calm.

J. P. Ryan came from Wellington yesterday with Pt.lora and the two-year-old Colais.
