THE BIBLE AND WAR

The Rev L O. Stanton (New Zealand director of the Oriental Missionary Society) is at present visiting Dunedin. Having travelled extensively in many countries, Mr Stanton brings news of great progress and encouraging results in the distribution of the scriptures. In China, the most war-torn land, to quote a recent report—” The longing to read the Word of God is spreading so rapidly in that vast and heroic land, that there are some who confidently expect the circulation of the Scriptures in China in the course oi a few short years to be as large as the present circulation for the whole world.” Mr Stanton is to lecture on Tuesday night in the Hanover Street Baptist Church. His subject will be "Thrilling Experiences With the Bible In Many Lands.”
