CROQUET

MEETING OF DELEGATES The president (Mrs W. E. Gibson) occupied the chair at the meeting of delegates' to the Otago Croquet Association on Thursday afternoon. The manager (Mrs Gibson) advised that Mrs J. Rhodes had been appointed assistant manager af the South Island tournament, and Mrs A. McGregor cafeteria convener. It was decided to use lawns at Watea (4), Punga ,(2), Leith (2), and Tainui (2), Watea to be the headquarters. The New Zealand Council advised that Mr R. W. McCreath, Dominion president, would be present at the opening of the annual tournament, to be held on January 6. The secretary of the Clyde Club advised that, owing to difficult circumstances, it had-' been decided to close down for the present. It was reported that the proceeds of the jumble sale amounted to £l3 10s. Match Results The following are the results of matches played this week:—A Grade: Punga 90, Monteciilo 24; Tainui 59, Leith 48- Watea 68, Logan Park 54. B Grade: Leith 48, Watea 38; Pungh 104, Taieri 38; Caversham 105, Tainui 50. C Grade: Caversham 52, St. Clair 42; Tainui 54, Leith 41; Logan Park 41, Monteciilo 31.
