THE “MESSIAH”

In addition to the assistance of church choir members, the Dunedin Choral Society will have the help of the Oamaru Choral Society for its annual performance of Handel’s “ Messiah,” which is to be given in the Town Hall oh Wednesday next. Mr Alfred Walmsley will be the conductor, and a strong group of soloists has been chosen in Mrs Chrissie Barton, of Fairlie (soprano), Miss Mary Pratt (contralto), Mr Grahame McKinla.y (tenor), and Mr Lloyd Spears (bass). The 4YA Orchestra will accompany the work, assisted by Dr V. E. Galway at the organ. Patrons are advised to reserve their seats.
