MIDDLEMARCH
Returned Services’ Association.—A meeting of the Middlemarch R.S.A. was presided over by Mr D. B. Craighead, who extended a welcome to several visiting servicemen. The meeting expressed disapproval of the recent Land Sales Act, which, it was considered, would not meet with the wishes of the servicemen in whose interests it was passed. Regret was also expressed that the New Zealand R.S.A. had been used as a political pawn to further the passage of the Bill.
