MOSGIEL ANGLICAN CHURCH

The final function in connection with the jubilee celebrations of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Mosgiel, was a bazaar held in the Parish hall. This had been organised by the Ladies’ Guild, of which Miss C. Cheyne is the secretary. There were good attendances both afternoon and evening. The evening session was made the more enjoyable by the staging of a playelte, produced by Mrs Williamson. In this the players were Misses Averley Cheyne, Gladys Roberts, and Marie Muirhead, and Masters Harold Campbell and Bernard Williamson. The stalls and stall-holders were as follows:—Produce—Mesdames Walker, N. Campbell and Stratton; cake—Mesdames Hamilton and Dyer; sweets—Mrs Williamson and Miss Timms; work—Mrs Boyd and Miss Cheyne; tea rooms—Mesdames Harrison and McAusland; side shows— Messrs Farrant and W. Campbell.
