LARGE YARDING OF'FAT SHEEP (Special) OAMARU, July 13. - There was a large yarding of fat sheep at the Waiareka sale to-day and a medium yarding of fat cattle. No pigs were penned. Prices all round were on a par with those of last week. Prime steer beef can be quoted at from 40s to 45s per 1001 b; prime heifer, 35s to 40s; prime young beef, 35s to 38s; aged cow beef, 20s. Prices were as follows: Fat Cattle.—Best steers, £l4 14s to £l6; medium, £l2 to £l3 10s; light, to £10; prime cows. £l4 to £ls; medium, £6 14s to £B. Fat Sheep.—Best wethers. 39s to 41s 6d; medium, 35s 3d to 38s; light, 28s 6d to 32s 2d' best ewes, 31s to 33s 3d; medium. 27s to 29s 6d; light, 23s 3d to 25s 6d; fat lambs, 28s to 34s 6d. Dairy Cows.—One pedigree Ayrshire cow just at third calving, £ll 15s; aged Jersey cow, c at profit, £6.
