DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE There was a good inquiry for 4 per cent. Government issues at the Dunedin Stock Exchange yesterday afternoon, but no sellers came forward. War Loan, due in 1953, was offered at £95, but no buyer quoted. New Zealand Breweries were asked for at £1 17s 6d, with a seller at £1 18s 3d, and New Zealand Refrigerating contributing shares were quoted at 11s lid (buyer) and 12s Id (seller). Westport Coal shares were wanted at £1 ss, without a seller offering, and Kaitangata Coals had buyers at £1 13s and sellers at £1 14s. Bruce ordinary shares were wanted at £1 8s with a seller at £1 11s, and the preference issue was wanted at £1 5s 6d. Yesterday’s Sales Dunedin—Sale on ’Change: New Zealand Refrigerating (cont.), 12s.
