fat sheep values easier (P.A.) INVERCARGILD, June 1. Apart from freezing ewes, all-classes of butchers’ sheep were generally easier by about 2s a head at the Lorneville stock sale to-dsv. Prime quality wethers made from 31s to 335; medium weights, 28s to 29s 6d; light-weight, 25s to 26s 6d; prime young butchers’ ewes, 21s to 22s 6d; prime quality, 19s to 20s; medium, 17s to 17s 9d; and freezing ewes, 13s to 16s, according to weight and quality. The entry of fat lambs consisted mostly of light and unfinished sorts.
