RED CROSS SOCIETY

NORTH OTAGO CENTRE ' There were present at the monthly meeting of the North Otago Centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society Mesdames A. Smith Morton (in the chair). Fox, G. L. Grant, F. Familton, and Spite (honorary secretary). Matters connected with the South Island Red Cross Emergency Committee were dealt with, and Mrs Smith Morton reported on the meeting held in Timaru. Gratification was expressed that steps were to be taken by the Oamaru Sub-centre to organise a junior Red Cross. The practical support received from the young people in both town and country had been a great encouragement, and it was felt that the junior Red Cross would be a very successful organisation.
