AMERICA'S WAR FORCES

OVER SIXTY-TWO MILLIONS

WASHINGTON. (Rec. 11 p.m.) Dec. 28. • The Man-power Director, Mr Paul McNutt, announced to-day ' that America's war forces;,including!the, armed services,' would total 62,500,000 in 1943, with employment for an additional 2,500,000 workers. He added that this year 12,900,000 were engaged in agriculture, and of these 600,000 were women. It was expected that by the end of 1943 women agriculturists would number 1,000,000, besides 6,000,000 women in war plants.
