LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

St. Clair Branch.—Mrs W. Rutherford presided. Mrs Seddon ,( provincial president) spoke on the responsibility of motherhood and the need for Christian training in the home. Floral sprays were presented to the provincial president and to the four past presidents of the branch —Mrs G. W. Johnstone, Mrs Booth, Mrs Doig, and Mrs P. Jones—and also to Mrs Cargon, a committee member, who will leave shortly to take up residence in Westport. An enjoyable programme was given by Mrs Stuckey, Mrs Angus, Miss Hands, Mrs D. Smith. Mrs J. McLachlan, Mrs Hoskin, Mrs Roberts, Mrs G. Mills, and Mrs Aitken. Two , competitions arranged by Mrs McDonald and Mrs Kitchin completed the entertainment.
