WAR PRISONERS’ PARCELS
A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Nov. 7. The Prisoners-of-War Inquiry Office is still anxious to receive information from the next-of-kin of prisoners who have not received their quarterly personal parcels. The latest iniormation always helps the office in advising other next-of-kin who make inquiries in this connection. It is particularly requested that original letter cards from prisoners should not be sent to the office, but copies only. Not only does the receipt of originals impose additional work on the office, but there is the anxiety of making sure that they are returned. The office is still desirous of receiving many more copies of recent letters from Italian and German camps. The following prisoners have now been officially notified: —Army 7541, air force 222, navy 16. miscellaneous 37. merchant seamen and civilians 37; — total 7853. In addition, there are three on the unofficial list.
