GUNNER TO BE DISCHARGED (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 22. A court martial sentenced Gunner John Francis Harnett to be discharged from his Majesty's forces and to serve three months' imprisonment with hard labour. He was found guilty of charges of absenting himself without leave, attempting to escape while under arrest, and conduct to the prejudice and good order of military discipline by making an alteration to the expiry date on a leave pass.
