SERVICE GROUP

The third general meeting of the Combined Ex-Girls' Service Group was held last \ Saturday at Archerfield School. In the absence of Miss Black, Miss Mollie Wood welcomed the members, who brought gifts to be distributed by the district nurses. ' Mrs S. G. Scoular presided, and announced that the next meeting, to which members may bring friends, will be held late in July in the Tudor Hall. A letter was read from the commander of a minesweeper thanking members for a large parcel of gifts. Mittens were collected and a further supply of wool was distributed.

Mrs F. Buttle proposed a vote of thanks to Miss Church and Miss Honor McKellar for an enjoyable musical programme, and to the members of the Archerfield Committee who served afternoon tea.
