Waikouaiti Branch.—The ordinary monthly meeting of the committee was held on June 11, when Mrs Herbert presided. Satisfaction was expressed at the result of the anti-waste drive, which resulted in approximately two tons of waste material being forwarded to the Salvation Army Depot in Dunedin. Reports were received from the leaders of the various groups. Miss Fleet reported on the Plunket Aids and Keep Fit Classes; Mrs Holland and Mrs Toomey on the Canteen Groups and Mrs Higgins on the Transport Section and camouflage nets. The president expressed satisfaction with the progress made. The resignation because of ill-health of the honorary secretary, Mrs T. Aitcheson, was accepted with regret, and Mrs W. Higgins was appointed to the position.
