Bombed Buckingham Palace According to a Kuibyshev message, the German pilot Webner, who is stated to have been responsible for the bombing of Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, has been imprisoned by the Russians. Post-war Problems The emergency committee of the International Labour Office met yesterday in London under the chairmanship of Mr Carter Goodrich, of the United States. The committee considered what effect will be given to the resolutions of the New York conference last autumn on post-war emergency and reconstruction, and other matters. The meeting was attended by representatives of Governments, employers, and workers from Belgium, Canada, China, Czechoslovakia, Britain. Greece India. Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, the United States, and Jugoslavia.
