MACHINE TOOLS
WIDE SCOPE OF RECENT ORDER (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Apl. 20. The Minister of Supply and Munitions, Mr D. G. Sullivan, said to-night that the recently-issued notices regard-: ing the control of machine tools were evidently not clearly understood. " I desire to make it plain that the order asking for returns applies to everyone," Mr Sullivan said. "Any person, even an amateur craftsman, who has in his possession any machine tool and has not already furnished particulars of it, must furnish a return to the Factory Controller, Wellington, stating the design, purposes, the age, and the make of the tool in question. It is of the utmost importance that the Factory Controller should be in possession of all the relevant facts concerning the machine tool resources of the Dominion, and I would impress upon all owners the urgency of the matter. Returns should be made immediately."
