ORGAN RECITAL

Dr V. E. Galway, the city organist, gave the first of his after-church recitals this year in the Town Hall last night. An interesting programme of organ music included the "Concerto in D" (Avison, 1710-1770), "Air to Chloe" (Mojcart), "Fugue in G Minor" (Bach), and Allegro from " Sonata in F Minor " (Rheinberger). Vocal solos were given by Miss Marion Gubb ("If My Songs Were Only Winged," and "Down in the Forest") and Miss Marion Duncan (" Ring, Bells, Ring"). The accompanist was Miss Marion Jeffery. As a concluding item Dr Galway presented the popular incidental music to Henry VIII.
