A MEMBER RESIGNS (Rec. 8.30 p.m.) RUGBY, June 14. It is reported in London that the Netherlands Minister for Defence, Colonel A. L. Dyxhoorn, has at his own request been relieved of office by Queen Wilhelmina, who expressed thanks for the many important services he had given to his country in difficult circumstances. It is learned in authoritative'circles that Colonel Dyxhoorn resigned owing to differences of opinion regarding the demarcation of his department's powers. For the time being, .M. H. van Voyen, Minister for General Affairs, will take over the responsibility for the Ministry of Defence.
