KING OF THE HELLENES
TRIBUTE TO BRITISH SOLDIERS (Rec 8 p.m.) RUGBY, June 14. Replying to a message despatched by the King on June 10 to'King George of Hellenes, the latter refers to the conduct of the British Imperial forces in Crete. He states that they "surpassed themselves in feats of valour which will ever remain traced in letters of gold." Speaking of his own people, King George says: "The decision of the Greek nation to continue, the fight until victory is won is already being given concrete form by Hellenic communities abroad. They have come forward to offer their moral and material contributions to the common cause of the Allies and to the restoration of Greece, and by their efforts they are strengthening the reorganisation of the national defence forces."
