WELLINGTON, Dec. 5.
When the secret session of the House of Representatives ended in the early hours, the following official statement was issued by the Speaker, Mr W. E. Barnard:— , , "The Prime Minister reviewed the developments in. the international field since the last secret session. The present position in the various theatres of war was also dealt with. He indicated the progress made in the provision of munitions and supply generally The problems of local defence and the steps taken to meet the requirements of the situation were outlined by him." , . . A total of 21 other speakers took part in the debate.
