" 1 ———<£»■' -■' TEACHERS’ RIGHTS SAFEGUARDED NEW REGULATIONS GAZETTED' (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 27, No teacher joining the forces will' suffer professionally by enlisting, and his interests in respect to premotion, grading, superannuation, etc., will be fully safeguarded. This is the essence of the Teachers Emergency Regulations gazetted to-night. The regulations cover, inter alia, appointments to vacancies caused by enlistments. the acceptance of a reduced period of training in the case of training college students who enlist, and the relaxation cf the pass conditions for the teachers’ certificate examination for teachers enlisting. Teachers in the forces will have the right to apply for positions in accordance with the customary manner.
