BREACH OF PRACTITIONERS ACT AN APPEAL DISMISSED (Per. United Press Association) \ : r . ■ ’ AUCKLAND, June 27. Reserved judgment was given by Mr Justice Blair in the Supreme Court today, dismissing an appeal by Perry Hubert Meuli against his conviction in the Magistrate’s Court of a breach of section 23 of the Medical Practitioners Act, that not being registered he practised a branch of medicine and surgery under a name or title implying that he held a diploma or degree, cr was otherwise specially qualified to practise. His Honor said that the evidence showed thAt the appellant held himself out as an endocrinologist and practised in rooms on which were door plates inscribed “Endocrinologist, glands, nerves, mental disorders,” and “Psychoanalyst, endocrinologist and mind, nerves and glands.” It was also shown that he charged a woman patient seven guineas for treatment. The appeal was dismissed with seven guineas costs.
