WEDDING

Holloway— Stevenson A quiet wedding of interest in University circles was celebrated at the St. Clair Presbyterian Church on Wednesday afternoon, when John Thorpe, elder son of Dr and Mrs J. E Holloway, was married to Una Scott youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs W Stevenson, of Dunottar. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. lan Borrie. The bride looked charming in a model blue frock and matching hat of velour. her flowers being cream begonias. In attendance wss the bride's sister Miss Nancy Stevenson, who wore a clover frock and matching hat. Dr lan Whitehead was the best man.

A happily informal party was he id afterwards at the residence of the bride's parents in Dunottar. The bride's mother wore a smart black frock and velvet turban, and carried autumn flowers. Mrs J. E. Holloway wore a black and white ensemble, her bouquet being of gold flowers. Later, when the young couple left for a brief honeymoon, the bride was wearing a squirrel cape over her blue frock, end a shoulder spray of gold flowers (the gift of her fellow-students in the Home Science School).
