EMPIRE CHAMPIONSHIP McCREADY RETAINS TITLE (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 15. The British Empire champion. Earl McCready (Canada), retained his title in the professional heavy-weight wrestling match with Lofty Blomfleld on Saturday night. The challenger held him to a draw, neither man managing to take a fall. The bout was comparatively placid, and it afforded an exhibition of clean, orthodox matcraft, rarely int Tupted by rough play or spectacular incidents. Infringements were unusually rare, and the referee was seldom called on to intervene. The Town Hall was packed, many of spectators standing. The crowd, which included many uniformed meh. gave the wrestlers a rousing reception. McCready weighed 17st, and Blomfleld 16st 81b.
