PREPARATIONS IN ENGLAND THIRTEEN HUNDRED PLANES NIGHT FLIGHT TO FRANCE (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, Aug. 7. England was aerially alert throughout the week-end. Fighter squadrons and bomber squadrons were practising in preparation for the most extensive air exercises yet held, opening on the night of August S, involving 1300 aircraft, 60,000 men, anti-aircraft units, balloon barrages, searchlights, and listening posts. A feature will be a night ilight by Air Force bombers, from England to France. There they will turn to launch a portion of the "Eastland" forces upon the " Westland " force in England. Other bombers will attack from over the North Sea. The exercises will end on the night of August 11.
