TOWN HALL DANCE

" HILL-BILLY ” NIGHT Patrons of the Town Hall dance should be given enjoyable entertainment to-night, when a Hill-billy programme will be featured. Included in Mr Dick Colvin’s Radio Band will be Master L. Wilson, who is only 14 years of age, but specialises in Tex Morton numbers. Also included in the band as vocalists will be Mr James MacFarlane and Miss Irene Brookes, the young woman who was successful in winning the final of the woman vocalist contest last Saturday night. Members of the Albany Ladies’ Basketball Club will be the guests of the management. Spectators will be admitted to the dress circle for a small charge. Intending entrants in the men’s vocalist contest may hand in their entries at the dance to-night or at Begg’s before Thursday. Young dancers are said to be benefiting from lessons given in the learners’ class held in the Vedic Lounge, tuition being given by Mr Kevin Dun. A dance is held on Wednesdays for this class. Further particulars are advertised.
